House Bill 2025 has eleven new transportation taxes

Here is HB 2025 in the Joint House-Senate Transportation Reinvestment Committee that lays out 11 new taxes.
Below is HB 2025 details as reported by the media:
• Gas tax increase +37%. 40 cents to 55 cents.
• Gas tax indexed to inflation forever
• Wage tax 300% increase! The transit payroll tax raises from .1% to .3%
• DMV fee #1 + 162%. car registration $43 to $113
• DMV fee #2 + 146%. drivers test $45 to $111
• DMV fee #3 + 175%. License plate $12 to $33
• Transfer tax on new cars. 2%.
• Creates new tax on used cars at 1%
• Vehicle privilege tax +200%: Current .5% tax on new cars now increases to 1%.
• Road use charge for Electric Vehicles
• Road Use charge for delivery vehicles 10 or more
The transportation tax package version #3 is what is being discussed for House Bill 2025.  These gas tax/car tax/wage tax detaisl may change when the bill is finally amended.
There is scheduled hearing this week, Joint House-Senate Transportation Reinvestment Committee this Tuesday and Wednesday.
