President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced a trade agreement on Thursday morning that Trump is calling “a great deal for both countries.”
Trump hailed the breakthrough deal with the UK, telling reporters the British market is “opening up” to American products — especially U.S. beef.
“They’re fast-tracking our goods through customs — no red tape, just results,” Trump said from the Oval Office.
He added the deal will put Britain in “economic security alignment with the United States,” strengthening the bond between allies.
Trump credited the agreement to his strong relationship with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, forged during their Feb. 27 White House meeting.
“This comprehensive agreement will lock in our historic bond and boost prosperity for years to come,” Trump posted on TRUTH Social. “It’s an honor to make the United Kingdom our FIRST trade announcement. Many more America First deals are coming soon!”
“The Golden Age of America is coming!” he added.
