1. Listen to this story, and then take note of what happened to the man arrested for the crime. Then, contemplate how much of Canada voted for this.
2. Very interesting German video on the state of Germany, antisemitism, and the urgent need for an anti-Islam government in Germany immediately.
Also noteworthy: The ADL quietly purged data on European Muslim antisemitism. This pretty much is all the evidence needed to understand the nature of the ADL, to be exactly what we all knew it was already. A communist organization with a Jewish beard and hat.
3. Massive gains for counter-revolutionary party in Vienna, but the commies stay in control.
The Vienna city council elections have been won by the ruling Social Democratic Party (SPÖ).
Despite having its second-worst result ever at 39 per cent in the ballot on on April 27, the party won a clear relative majority and will continue to govern Austria’s capital as it has since the end of the Second World War.
The Freedom Party (FPÖ) came in second with 21 per cent – tripling its vote compared to the previous election in 2015.
The right-wingers managed to attract both disillusioned SPÖ and disgruntled Conservative Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP) voters, as a ballot analysis showed.
The ÖVP continued its sharp downward trend in Austrian elections. The party lost 11 percentage points and slipped to less than 10 per cent in the final result. The Greens party came in largely unchanged at 14 per cent while the Liberal Neos party achieved 10 per cent.
4. Germany still trying to ban the AfD; From Eurgyppius
I fear they will try to ban Alternative für Deutschland.
I spent many months last year saying this would not happen, and my reasons were fourfold:
1) Key figures in the major parties, including Chancellor Olaf Scholz of the SPD and Friedrich Merz of the CDU, opposed banning the AfD.
2) Marco Wanderwitz’s much-publicised initiative to ban the AfD was therefore a doomed movement among Bundestag backbenchers, overhyped by idiotic German journalists. As I predicted, it went nowhere.
3) Throughout much of 2024, the AfD were strong enough to be a problem, but not quite strong enough to cause prohibitive difficulties for the political cartel that runs the Federal Republic. They persisted in a sweet spot that ruined the risk-reward calculus of trying to ban them.
4) Through last summer, the NGO-coordinated and government-led “fight against the right” succeeded in seriously damaging AfD support. If the AfD could be kept in bounds via propaganda, a ban seemed additionally unlikely.
None of these considerations apply anymore: Support for banning the AfD is building within both the SPD and the CDU. Much more serious efforts to the ban the party are on the horizon; the Wanderwitz clownshow is yesterday’s foible. The AfD seem increasingly immune to state media propaganda and leftist political agitation.
More important than all of that, however, is the fact that the CDU have proven vastly more incompetent than I or anybody else anticipated. Through their own failures they are making the AfD into the strongest political party of the Federal Republic. Soon they will begin to threaten outright majorities in the East. This was going to happen sooner or later, but the CDU have accelerated the process massively. Things that should’ve taken years are now happening in weeks or months, and that is very dangerous. It is far from inconceivable that the AfD will end up with a Minister President (i.e., a governor) in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern or Sachsen-Anhalt following the state elections in 2026. And however that turns out, the 2029 federal elections will be a nightmare. By then the AfD will be so strong that all other parties will have to form the world’s shittiest of shit coalitions to keep them out of power.
5. Danielle Smith, Premiere of Alberta has hit the ground running post federal election. Real geopolitical change may actually occur. Canadians, start looking for condos in Alberta, just not Calgary or Edmonton, and possibly also Saskatchewan
Albertans deserve elections that are fair, secure, and reflect the true will of the people. That’s why our government is introducing the Election Statutes Amendment Act with the following proposed changes: • Banning the use of electronic tabulators and other automated voting machines, requiring all ballots to be counted by hand to protect election integrity. • Eliminating vouching at voting stations to strengthen identification and verification processes. • Requiring unofficial vote counts to be completed within 12 hours of polls closing to provide timely, reliable results. • Voters being required to cast their ballot in their constituency of residence or by requesting a special ballot. • Expanding access to special ballots, allowing any voter to request one without needing to provide a reason while protecting integrity by requiring voters to personally request their special ballot (with exceptions for those needing assistance due to a disability). • Updating the Recall Act to make it easier for Albertans to hold elected officials accountable by lowering the signature threshold and extending the timeframe to collect signatures. • Improving the Citizen Initiative Act process by setting the threshold for all successful petitions at 10 per cent of eligible voters who participated in the last general election. • Allow corporate and union contributions for provincial elections while maintaining transparency and accountability through existing financial disclosure requirements. • Improve access to voting for First Nations and Métis Settlements during referendums and Senate elections. • Enhance emergency response provisions for voting disruptions during referendums and Senate elections.
Yup. Banning voting machines is an excellent start. As we have said a few times, elections that aren’t transparent do not give confidence in the fairness of the system. They must not be part of any election. And many more measures she is putting into play.
The subtext here may also be setting up a possible referendum for separation from Canada. Let’s hope that is well underway. If it isn’t, I have it on some authority that Smith will be replaced post haste with someone who will get the job done.
