Trump is ready to wrap up the Russia/Ukraine negotiations. But can Putin and Zelensky find common ground? Today’s show breaks it down.
“They start with the premise of, ‘It is ours if the US will pay for it,’” Crowder said. “How about you demand nothing, shut up, and take it?”
According to a Trump Truth Social post:
Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is boasting on the front page of The Wall Street Journal that, “Ukraine will not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea. There’s nothing to talk about here.” This statement is very harmful to the Peace Negotiations with Russia in that Crimea was lost years ago under the auspices of President Barack Hussein Obama, and is not even a point of discussion. Nobody is asking Zelenskyy to recognize Crimea as Russian Territory but, if he wants Crimea, why didn’t they fight for it eleven years ago when it was handed over to Russia without a shot being fired? The area also houses, for many years before “the Obama handover,” major Russian submarine bases.
It’s inflammatory statements like Zelenskyy’s that makes it so difficult to settle this War. He has nothing to boast about! The situation for Ukraine is dire — He can have Peace or, he can fight for another three years before losing the whole Country.
“Saying Ukraine will not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea does not make it true,” Crowder said.
Last night, Trump said he believes Russia has agreed to a plan to end the war in Ukraine, but that Zelensky is currently holding back the agreement.
“I think we’ve a deal with Russia — we have to get a deal with Zelensky. I thought it might be easier to deal with Zelensky, but so far, it’s been harder,” Trump said when speaking to reporters. “I think we have a deal with both — I hope they do it.”
This morning, Trump wrote on Truth Social that he is “Not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV.”
Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Lets get the Peace Deal DONE!
“He is being consistent and [telling both sides] to stop the dying. You may not like where he lines up on territory, mineral rights, and NATO, but he has been remarkably consistent,” Crowder said.
According to Crowder, “False empathy creates more victims.”
“We have given [Ukraine] basically a blank check,” Crowder said. “Has it stopped the dying, or has it led to more dying? Let’s be honest here.”
