2. Jordan bans Muslim Brotherhood after arrests over attack plots
That must be rough on them. I guess Ikwan will have to content itself in the UK, US, Canada and the EU.
Jordan’s government has banned the Muslim Brotherhood a week after it said members of the Islamist group had been arrested on suspicion of planning rocket and drone attacks.
Interior Minister Mazen al-Faraya told a news conference that all of the Brotherhood’s offices would be closed and its assets confiscated, and that any activities would be considered illegal.
There was no immediate response from the Brotherhood, which denied any links to the alleged attack plots.
It is not clear how the ban will affect the group’s political arm, the Islamic Action Front, which is the largest opposition group in parliament. But its headquarters was raided by police following Faraya’s announcement.
The IAF’s secretary general, Wael Saqqa, insisted that it was an independent political party, explaining that it had “no relationship with any other organisational body”.
“We always declare that we are committed to order, the law, and the provisions of the constitution,” he said.

If the world became a degree or two warmer, it would be a great thing. Even for the Polar bears. More food, more fish. Sunlight = energy plants and animals use to thrive. Historically this can be seen with ice core samples and easily available records. When it gets cold, lots of everything dies. When it gets warm, things blossom.
It appears as if there really are agencies which are trying to reduce the amount of sunlight that reaches the surface of the Earth, apparently to make it cooler. This will in fact be a mass death account that will barely make the vaxx and Covid look like a dress rehearsal.
UK scientists to launch outdoor geoengineering experiments
UK scientists are to launch outdoor geoengineering experiments as part of a £50m government-funded programme.
The experiments will be small-scale and rigorously assessed, according to Advanced Research and Invention Agency (Aria), the UK government agency backing the plan, and will provide “critical” data needed to assess the potential of the technology. The programme, along with another £11m project, will make the UK one of the biggest funders of geoengineering research in the world.
I like how the guy objecting casually uses the word “fact” to say that the people you kill might be justified by the people you save, when none of what they are saying are facts. They can’t know.
