The Second Amendment is no longer under siege by unelected bureaucrats drunk on power—and we can thank President Donald Trump for that. But while the battle may be turning, the damage left behind by Joe Biden’s anti-gun crusade is still affecting hundreds of patriotic Americans who had their livelihoods crushed under the weight of his “zero tolerance” gun-grabbing agenda. Now, Rep. Mark Green of Tennessee is calling for justice.
In a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Green urged the Trump administration’s Department of Justice to review every single federal firearm license (FFL) that was unjustly revoked during Biden’s presidency. Green applauded the Trump administration’s bold reversal of Biden’s radical policy but made it clear that this fight isn’t over until the damage is undone.
Under Biden, the ATF wasn’t just enforcing the law—it was rewriting it. As Green noted, Biden’s ATF operated under a “revoke first, prove willfulness later” mindset, going after gun shop owners for even the most minor clerical mistakes. These weren’t rogue dealers or bad actors. These were law-abiding, small-business owners—many of them veterans—trying to run their businesses with integrity and caution. And they were steamrolled by an agenda that treated the Constitution like an inconvenience.
The numbers don’t lie. Biden’s ATF revoked more FFLs in 2024 than in any other year in the past two decades. That’s not enforcement—that’s an ideological purge. Under the guise of “zero tolerance,” the Biden regime waged an all-out war on mom-and-pop gun shops, hoping to quietly choke off America’s gun culture by turning paperwork errors into career-ending violations.
But on April 7, Attorney General Bondi finally did what Biden’s DOJ refused to do—end the war on law-abiding gun owners. The ATF’s “zero tolerance” policy is officially dead. Still, Green argues—and rightly so—that’s not enough. Because for those shops that already lost everything, the damage is done. And the Trump administration has a moral obligation to make it right.
Take Tactical Edge Arms in Tennessee. The ATF found ten minor clerical errors in over 2,500 forms—something that, under normal circumstances, would’ve earned a warning letter at most. But under Biden’s crackdown, it resulted in a revoked license. No hearing. No mercy. Just another business torched by government overreach.
Then there’s Allen’s Gun Shop, a family-run business that served its community for nearly two decades. One day, they were cited for paperwork errors. The next, they were given just 15 days to shut down. No appeal. No defense. Their American Dream, snuffed out by a regime more interested in appeasing gun control lobbyists than upholding the Constitution.
These stories are not isolated. They are the rule, not the exception. And it’s not just about guns—it’s about government abusing power to punish its political enemies. That’s the hallmark of a banana republic, not a constitutional republic.
Green has asked Bondi to conduct a sweeping review of every license revoked under Biden’s reign of lawfare. Because in his words, “It’s time to make this right.” And he’s exactly right. Americans shouldn’t lose their businesses because they misplaced a comma or checked the wrong box on a government form. They certainly shouldn’t be forced to spend their life savings fighting a politicized agency hell-bent on destroying them.
President Trump is doing what no Democrat would dare—he’s restoring the constitutional rights of everyday Americans, not just with words, but with action. Ending Biden’s anti-gun purge was step one. Now it’s time to fix what was broken, license by license, case by case.
Every gun shop owner who was targeted deserves a second chance. And every bureaucrat who participated in this anti-Second Amendment witch hunt should be shown the door. We don’t need an ATF that acts like an activist group. We need a Department of Justice that defends justice, not political agendas.
With Pam Bondi at the helm and President Trump back in charge, the message is clear: America will not criminalize the Constitution any longer. The Biden years of targeting gun owners for “wrongthink” are over. Now it’s time to restore what was stolen.
