A sad state of affairs.
A clip went viral this week of ex-CNN anchors Don Lemon and Jim Acosta discussing how well they are doing since leaving CNN and how the American people can “trust” them.
Lemon and Acosta talked about how great they’re doing on Substack.
“I think it’s another nail in the confidence people have in corporate media,” Lemon said while discussing the media. “I think that is why folks like you, over here on Substack, doing extremely well — I’m doing okay on Substack also on YouTube … I think that’s why we’re having such success.”
“They don’t care if you’re on the north lawn or the south lawn of the White House with pancake make-up on and all the lights and the shiny desks. They want people they like, they trust, and they care about,” Lemon said.
“People can trust that I’m going to tell them the truth. I think people like that,” Lemon added.
