Former Vice President Al Gore has returned to politics to make a tired and outrageous comparison. The disgraced climate change crusader likened the Trump administration to Nazi Germany during a recent speech, drawing immediate backlash from conservatives. Yawn…
At a glance:
- Al Gore compared Trump administration to Nazi Germany during Climate Week in San Francisco
- Gore accused Trump White House of creating “their own version of reality” similar to Hitler’s regime
- The former Vice President admitted such Nazi comparisons are problematic but insisted on “learning from history”
- Gore cited German philosophers while claiming Trump is attacking the “distinction between true and false”
- The Trump critic claimed the Constitution was designed to protect against “threats identical to Donald Trump”
Gore Makes Inflammatory Comparison
Former Vice President Al Gore unleashed a series of inflammatory remarks at San Francisco’s Climate Week, comparing President Donald Trump’s administration to Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germany. The failed presidential candidate’s comments represent the latest extreme rhetoric from Democrats as Trump surges in the polls ahead of November’s election.
Gore attempted to justify his outrageous comparison while acknowledging the problematic nature of such parallels. “I understand very well why it is wrong to compare Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich to any other movement,” Gore said. “But there are important lessons from the history of that emergent evil.”

Gore Claims Trump Administration Manipulates Truth
The climate activist didn’t stop with the initial comparison, going further by suggesting the Trump White House manipulated reality in ways similar to the Nazi regime. His remarks focused on what he described as attacks on truth, citing various philosophical perspectives while making his case.
Gore referenced German philosopher Theodore Adorno, stating: “It was [Jürgen] Habermas’ mentor, Theodore Adorno, who wrote that the first step in that nation’s descent into hell was, and I quote, ‘the conversion of all questions of truth into questions of power.’” The former Vice President then added that Adorno described how the Nazis “attacked the very heart of the distinction between true and false.”
Democrats Continue Extreme Rhetoric
Gore’s comments represent an escalation in rhetoric from prominent Democrats who have struggled to counter Trump’s growing support among working-class Americans of all backgrounds and races. The far-left climate activist even went so far as to claim the Constitution was specifically designed to protect against Trump.
“And power-seeking is what this is all about,” Gore declared in his speech. “Our constitution, written by our founders, is intended to protect us against a threat identical to Donald Trump.”

Gore’s inflammatory remarks come as he continues pushing climate change policies that many economists warn would devastate American energy independence and hurt working-class families with higher costs. Critics have noted the irony of Gore’s claims about “truth” while he has faced scrutiny over failed climate predictions throughout his career.
