Woke city council declares itself a “trans, intersex, and gender diverse sanctuary city and does so UNANIMOUSLY

The Corvallis, OR City Council has decided to ignore Trump’s executive orders and pass resolutions affirming their commitment against that. This is why they believe the most logical thing to do in these times is to formally declare the city as a “Trans, Intersex, And Gender Diverse Sanctuary City.”

According to the ordinance, the city “recognizes the surge in both targeted state and federal legislation, threats, discrimination, and physical violence against members of trans, intersex, and gender diverse communities.” However, it’s unclear what “physical violence” they are talking about, as there is no evidence to back up this claim, at least to a significant extent that one needs to mention. However, it’s not like these people pride themselves in being factually correct.

Additionally, it’s also unclear what this ordinance will do beyond virtue-signaling its way into federal defiance, but that is neither here nor there. The point is that they did this because they believe gender identity should be codified into law, despite the expense that has on women’s rights, and that is not something that should ever be condoned.

Per the ordinance:

“The City shall exercise its power to ensure the equal protection, treatment, and representation of all persons without discrimination including, but not limited to, age, citizenship status, color, familial status, gender identity or expression, marital status, mental disability, national origin, physical disability, race, religion, religious observance, sex, sexual orientation, and source or level of income.”

How exactly will they ensure equal protection for women and men who “identify” as women? Because that’s not really possible, and the fact that they claim this makes them the compassionate ones is deranged and not something that will ever be morally superior.

Worst of all, this is targeted towards children, despite the irreversible damage these medical interventions could do to them. So, while the city believes they are on the right side of history fighting for these trans Frankenstein procedures on minors, it is supporting things that even the worst civilizations could never dream of.

The last thing this ordinance does is show respect to the trans community, as it’s not compassionate to affirm delusion and support irreversible procedures that butcher off healthy body parts. However, it’s not like these people care to be morally, logically, or medically correct, so there’s that.
