Pam Bondi vows more arrests are coming after MS-13 gang members are busted
President Donald Trump has made it a top priority to root out the illegal alien gangs that infested the country under former President Joe Biden.
The Justice Department and FBI are cracking down on the El Salvadoran gang MS-13.
Several top MS-13 leaders have already been arrested by the FBI.
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that three MS-13 gang members were arrested for a gangland hit in South Florida.
Four murders went unsolved in Broward County and Palm Beach County, Florida over 2014 and 2015 that were long suspected of being gang-related.
Bondi reopened these cold investigations and closed the books on one of them.
The three MS-13 members were accused of killing 22-year-old Gerson Vilelio Vasquez-Portillo in Palm Beach County for being a member of a rival gang.
“These gangs are organized. They are terrorists. And look at these guys, they thought they got away with it for almost a decade but they did not,” Bondi explained. “They are living among us because they think they can get away with this, and they cannot.”
All three of the accused murderers were illegal aliens who had been living in the United States for years.
Hugo Adiel Bermudez-Martinez was arrested in Minnesota while Jose Ezequiel Gamez-Maravilla and Wilber Rosendo Navarro-Escobar were nabbed in Florida.
A terrorist organization wreaking havoc on the country
MS-13 was one of the Latin American gangs that Trump designated as a foreign terrorist organization.
Bondi had a blunt warning for illegal gang members in the United States.
“We will be reviewing them to see if we will seek the death penalty,” Bondi stated. “More arrests are coming. If you are a gang member living in this country, I’d self-deport right now because we’re coming after you.”
The Justice Department worked with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida on the multiagency Operation Shadow of the Beast.
A total of nine gangbangers have been arrested during the operation.
“Nine MS-13 terrorists have been taken off our streets and four cold murder cases have been solved thanks to the great investigative work of the FBI and our law enforcement partners,” Bondi said. “Let this be a lesson: no matter how long it takes, we will never give up in our pursuit of justice.”
Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony said that law enforcement would be relentless in targeting MS-13 and other criminal gangs.
“It doesn’t matter when you committed the crime,” Tony stated. “It doesn’t matter what part of this world you’re from. If you come here in this community and decide that you’re going to take a life, we’re going to unleash every single resource to bring you to justice.”
Pam Bondi is waging war on MS-13 and the other illegal alien gangs that are terrorizing the country.
