When doing a fact-based objective analysis of political violence in America, you discover that the vast, vast majority of it comes from the left. The allegation of right-wing violence tends to be speculative and theoretical, while left-wing violence is very real.
Following the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill, Democrats predicted a wave of right wing violence. There would be nationwide violence on the first anniversary of the riot. To underscore that Democratic narrative, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ordered perimeter fencing and the presence of the National Guard to protect the Capitol. Less than 200 protestors – with permits – peacefully assembled. No violence on Capitol Hill or anywhere else around the country.
You will recall how the left warned that Trump supporters would attack the polling places and election workers. In Arizona, they put up barriers and even had snipers on the roof of polling centers. Not a single instance of violence. The right’s aversion to violence is not new. In the era of the so-called “Tea Party,” right-wingers repeated assembled, demonstrated and protested legally – and never any violence.
Over and over, the left warns of right-wing violence – but the predictions fail to come to fruition. The narrative of right-wing violence is simply that – a narrative, and a bogus one. The falsehood is spread by a compliant left-wing media too eager to legitimize the Democrats’ fearmongering politically motivated propaganda.
They say that Trump and others criticizing judges pose a POTENTIAL threat to the lives of jurists. Yet, who is the only justice to has been harassed by illegal mobs at his home and the target of an actual assassination attempt (to which the culprit recently pleaded guilty). In case you do not know, it was conservative Republican Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
No presidential candidate or President has suffered an actual assassination attempt since conservative Republican President Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981. That is, until Trump was winged by a bullet last summer – an attempt that resulted in the death of a young father. Later in the campaign, a second would-be assassin was stopped within minutes of a clear shot at Trump.
In recent times, we have seen right-wing push back against woke policies. When they put transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney on the Bud Lite beer can, those on the right showed their contempt on the Internet and they stopped buying Bud. BUT no one vandalized the Anheuser Busch headquarters. Budweiser delivery trucks were not attacked. No one trashed Bud displays in retail stores.
Recently, Disney released a woke version of Snow White that was offensive to some on the right. The right protested by not purchasing tickets — and the movie suffered one of the worst opening weeks in Disney history. But there was no attack on Disney property. No vandalism of theaters showing the movie.
That is not how the left deals with protests. We are currently witnessing a massive wave of violent political terrorism targeting Elon Musk, the Tesla corporation and individual Tesla owners. Molotov cocktails are being used to torch Tesla facilities. Privately owned Tesla vehicles are being damaged and destroyed. Owners are being accosted and assaulted by angry individuals and mops. (There is an irony in that since most Tesla vehicles have been purchased by folks of the more liberal bent, according to industry reports.)
Violence that has occurred on College campuses has always been the result of left-wing activists and organizations. The vandalism and antisemitism we have been witnessing at Columbia University — to name one — is left-wing intimidation, vandalism and terrorism.
Such violence is in the left-wing DNA. In addition to organized violence, Individual zombies rise to commit personal acts of violence as soon as the politicians, media and influencers say “take to the streets.
But even worse, the hierarchy of the left – the leaders of the Democratic Party – promotes and encourages violence. The minimize left-wing violence. The lack of condemnation over the attacks on Tesla is all you need to know.
Democrat politicians have long been tolerant and forgiving of acts of political violence. Vice President Harris raised bail money to get violent rioters out of jail. More recently, radical left-wing Congressman Jamie Raskin said that the violent attacks on Tesla are “understandable.” Former vice presidential candidate Tim Walz cheered the decline in Tesla stock as a result of the violent attacks.
Yes, there have been instances of lone wolves on both sides. On the right, there was the tragic shooting at Mother Emmanuel Church. Also, the man who drove his car into the mob in Charlottsville – killing a young female protester. On the left, we have had the assassination of police officers … the torching of the GOP state headquarters in New Mexico over immigration policy … the recent killing of a Walgreen’s clerk over anger at the pharmaceutical industry … and the gunning down of the United Healthcare CEO. A TikTok user recently called for people to shoot ICE officers on sight.
The long history of violent protest makes it perfectly clear which side of the political and philosophic divide produces the preponderance of violence. It is virtually always those identified with the Democrat base who do the rioting, arson, looting, and vandalism. Take the hundreds of violent race riots since the 1960s, and it is almost impossible to find conservative Republicans committing the violence.
Organizations such as Black Lives Matter, Antifa and other groups have committed major acts of violence throughout America. They have violently “occupied” and disrupted major cities. These are the groups who have been praised, coddled and financed by left-wing politicians and organizations for decades. Democrat mayors and prosecutors have empowered those committing violence by the lack of law enforcement and prosecution.
Over the course of the past 8-plus years, Trump has held scores of emotionally charged rallies with tens of thousands of MAGA supporters – and virtually no incidents of violence (excluding the assassination attempt, of course).
If you look at the big picture of political violence in America, the riot on Capitol Hill was an outlier. On the other hand, the chronic political violence is iconic on the left.
So, there ‘tis.
