Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard has confirmed that investigators have uncovered evidence that electronic voting machines were tampered with to rig the results of past U.S. elections.
Gabbard said in a statement:
“I’ve got a long list of things that we’re investigating.
We have the best going after this, election integrity being one of them.
We have evidence of how these electronic voting systems have been vulnerable to hackers for a very long time.”
According to Gabbard, the evidence shows that the machines are “vulnerable to exploitation to manipulate the results of the votes being cast.”
She adds that finding “further drives forward your mandate to bring about paper ballots across the country so that voters can have faith in the integrity of our elections.”

Last year, Tesla CEO Elon Musk also highlighted that electronic voting machines were vulnerable to hacking.
“We should eliminate electronic voting machines. The risk of being hacked by humans or AI, while small, is still too high,” Musk posted on X.

Dominion voting machines across the country experienced a “glitch” just days before the presidential election.
At the time, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson said, “Yeah, this is a nationwide issue with Dominion voter access terminals in the counties that use them in the voter access terminals.”
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump, who has also been sounding the alarm about electronic voting machine tampering, is making moves to safe guard future elections.
Last month, the President signed an executive order last month mandating that voters provide proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote.
The order aims to strengthen election security and ensure that only American citizens can cast ballots in U.S. elections.
“There are other steps that we will be taking in the coming weeks. We think we’ll be able to end up getting fair elections,” Trump said at the time.
