You may have already heard, but it is always good to hear it again – another Vermont Planned Parenthood abortion clinic has closed!
Planned Parenthood announced two days ago that their clinic in St. Johnsbury, VT will close their doors on June 3, 2025 after over 13 years in operation.
The announcement follows the closing of four Vermont Planned Parenthood clinics in 2022. Those clinics were located in Bennington, Hyde Park, Saint Albans and Middlebury.
The closures indicate the increasingly desperate financial picture that Planned Parenthood of Northern New England faces. The Tri-State organization (Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire) has publicly admitted that the organization is facing an estimated $8.6 million deficit over the next 3 years.

Added to the abortion giant’s woes is a new administration in Washington DC aiming to freeze or further reduce Planned Parenthood’s reliance on tax-payer funding.
Today, Vermont has double the number Pregnancy Resource Centers (10) than it has abortion clinics (5). Prayers, hard work, persistence and boldly proclaiming the truth are leading to a light at the end of the tunnel.
More good news: The Manhattan New York abortion clinic, named after racist, eugenicist and founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, is also closing its doors. In July 2020, Planned Parenthood announced it was dropping “Margaret Sanger” from the clinic name, due to due to her eugenics beliefs targeting Blacks and other minorities. Despite distancing themselves from Sanger and changing the name to Planned Parenthood of Greater New York, the clinic faces closure.
Planned Parenthood of Vermont remains a formidable and well-funded pro-abortion organization. Planned Parenthood’s agenda continues to dominate the legislative agenda as they continue to try to shutter Pregnancy Resource Centers by restricting their ability to speak and advertise, expand access to the deadly abortion pills by removing safety provisions for women and their babies, and prevent any promotion of Abortion Pill Reversal procedures.

Vermont Right to Life is the only organization in Vermont providing factual, pro-life testimony to the legislature in order to contradict the lies and distortions provided by the powerful pro-abortion forces that currently dominate the legislative agenda. While the legislature picked up a solid number of new seats in 2024, both the House and Senate hold majorities when involving pro-life matters.
