Images posted on New York Helicopter Tours website captured the family’s final moments, showing them cheerfully posing in front of the Bell 206L-4 LongRanger IV helicopter and seated inside the aircraft with their safety restraints secured. The devastating incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. when the helicopter suddenly broke apart mid-flight before plummeting into the river’s murky depths. Emergency responders pronounced four victims dead at the crash site, while two others succumbed to their injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital.
