SPLC’s Doxing Of Babylon Bee Writers Sparks Outrage Over Free Speech

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has faced significant backlash after doxing anonymous writers from Not the Bee, a news platform linked to the Christian satire site Babylon Bee. Critics accuse the SPLC of using intimidation tactics to silence dissenting voices and undermine the foundational American value of free speech.

Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon revealed the SPLC exposed personal details about several writers, including their names, family connections, and locations. Dillon described the act as vindictive. “They’re trying to destroy those they disagree with by making them pay for speaking freely,” he said.

The SPLC justified its actions by claiming it was protecting vulnerable groups. In a statement, the organization accused the writers of producing “hateful content” that dehumanizes marginalized communities. The group asserted, “This commentary has no place in our society.”

Not the Bee pushed back, arguing that the SPLC’s stance attacks not just its writers but millions of Americans who share similar views. “Are they saying the majority of Americans, who oppose sterilizing kids and support border enforcement, have ‘no place in society’?” the site wrote in response.
