Soon-to-be First Lady Melania Trump was seen sharing a kiss with her husband earlier this month as he declared victory in this year’s presidential election.
However, an unnamed source claims that Mrs. Trump has demanded that she have her own bedroom at the White House.Â
Source says Melania “had Donald over a barrel”
That assertion was put forward in an article published this past Monday by the website Radar Online, which spoke with a supposed “insider.”
“Melania knew she had Donald over a barrel going into the 2024 campaign,” the figure claimed before adding, “She knew he needed her support and she made the most of the moment.”
“It was no secret that Donald stayed in the White House master suite and Melania occupied a two-room suite on the third floor during their first-go round there,” the source insisted.
“They’ll now basically go back to something along those very same lines — if not in the very same rooms,” he or she went on to predict.
Representative for Trump denies story
Radar Online acknowledged that a representative for the president-elect denied that there is any tension in his relationship with Mrs. Trump.
Meanwhile, the New York Post reported earlier this month that the incoming first lady is only planning to spend part of her time in Washington, D.C.
The newspaper pointed to an unnamed source of its own as saying that Mrs. Trump will instead reside for much of the year in New York, where her son Barron is attending college at New York University (NYU).
“It was his decision to come here, that he wants to be in New York, study in New York, and live in his home and I respect that,” Mrs. Trump told Fox News in September when speaking of Barron.
Former aide hired as Mrs. Trump’s chief of staff
Mrs. Trump also made headlines last week when her office announced that former aide Hayley Harrison will serve as her chief of staff.

“Mrs. Harrison has maintained an integral role and exceptional leadership on the First Lady’s team over the past seven years,” the office explained.
“She has a strong understanding of White House operations, and as Chief of Staff, Mrs. Harrison will oversee and manage the East Wing’s team while strategically liaising with other parts of government,” it went on to explain.
