Entertainment magazine Deadline is hosting a screening of Matt Walsh’s Am I Racist documentary, and the left is losing its mind over it.
The magazine is giving the film a fair showing after Walsh submitted the movie for Oscar consideration.
Leftists have since flooded the comments on Deadline’s announcement to call foul, even though almost all of their arguments are dumbfounded and lacking sources.
“Check out the comments to see a bunch of leftists who are very very upset that I’m an Oscar contender,” Walsh posted on X as the left continued its attack against the screening.
“Sorry guys. This is real. This is happening,” Walsh continued. “You just have to deal with it.”
One outraged X user blasted Deadline for hosting “a man who believes all minorities should be deported and that women should be impregnated by the age of 13.”
That user was quickly ripped for seemingly living in an alternative reality.
Another angry user called the screening “embarrassing,” noting that Deadline was participating in “MAGA a** kissing.”
“Nothing about this hideous joke of the movie is ‘acclaimed,’” the account added. “It might be [acclaimed] by some trolls on Twitter but that’s hardly a recommendation.”
Walsh soon proceeded to call out the leftist wing outrage, noting the hypocrisy in argument.
He noted that leftists always tell conservatives to go out and make their own successful films “instead of just complaining about Hollywood,” but then when they do, as is the case with Am I Racist, those same people spark backlash.
For the cherry on top, Walsh changed his X bio to include “Oscar contender.”
He also told his followers that his outfit for the red carpet was “already picked” out.
This is not the first time Walsh has clapped back at people angry about his film.
He took aim at VeggieTales creator Phil Vischer earlier this year for publicly criticizing the movie, describing it as “deceptive” and “mean.”
Vischer notably called the documentary “a confused, morally and theologically incoherent stew of nonsense,” Resist the Mainstream previously reported.
Walsh responded with characteristic vigor, labeling his critics as “weak, ineffectual, uninspired, utterly useless, limp-wristed, spineless, little mealy mouth empty vessels who have all but destroyed the Christian church in the West.”
