Headed down the stretch of the election, Kamala Harris acted as though she had the election in the bag.
Internally, however, her advisers knew she was doomed, according to local reports.
They said they were “hopeful,” but all knew she really had no path to win the election.
Putting on a Front
The amount of money that Harris raised over three months was staggering, topping off at more than $1.6 billion across all outlets.
Generally speaking, in the past, we have seen that the bigger bankroll typically wins elections.
After all, George Soros proved it time and again by flooding local elections with millions to place his operatives.
This time, however, regardless of the money spent, all Harris seemed to do was lose ground from the moment she announced her candidacy.
David Plouffe, a senior adviser to the campaign, said the unsayable in a recent interview.
He stated, “We were hopeful. I don’t know how optimistic we were, but we thought, OK, this is tied, and if a couple things break our way [we could win].”
Plouffe added, “We didn’t get the breaks we needed on Election Day.
“I think it surprised people, because there was these public polls that came out in late September, early October, showing us with leads that we never saw.”
Keep in mind, this was the same guy who predicted Harris would win every swing state on election day.
Just one day before the election, Plouffe stated, “And, you know, just a couple hours ago, reviewing all the early vote data, what we’re projecting for Election Day, how we think undecideds are breaking, we have a credible pathway to all seven states tomorrow night to go into Kamala Harris’s column.”
The fact of the matter was that Harris could not get away from being part of the Biden administration, especially concerning immigration.
That, honestly, is something, along with inflation, that will follow her career forever.
If Harris is ever elected to office outside of California again, I would be highly surprised.
