Former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Michael Steele warned about the end of the nation as he trashed President-elect Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
Steele fearmongered about the chaos the incoming president will allegedly unleash with his policies, describing Trump as “insecure” and opening a “Pandora’s box of hell” as he spoke with MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace on “Deadline: White House.”
“We don’t have to go down this road,” the so-called Republican said as he discussed Trump’s immigration policy, triggering backlash on social media.
. @MichaelSteele is quite possibly the most reprehensible example of what it means to pretend to be a Republican.
For some reason he must’ve missed the democracy suppository the American people handed down on November 5th.

“Our fate in this country is not that bad that we would turn it over to a two-bit, wanna-be dictator who’s gonna enrich himself, engorge himself off of federal dollars and contracts, and relationships for his hotels and his properties, and continue to cozy up to our adversaries to mimic their illiberal bad behavior because he wants to fit in,” Steele ranted.
“He can’t be an American president. He has to be a Putin president. He has to be an Orbán president. And that’s not what America’s about. So, we have to decide as a country if this is really what it’s — how it ends,” he said, accusing the former and future president of imitating Russian President Vladimir Putin and Hungarian President Viktor Orban.
“Yes, I said ‘ends’ because it doesn’t get better when you open up this Pandora’s box of hell and expect people to sort of realize an American dream that is slowly being ripped away from them because Donald Trump has decided, well, ‘We don’t like your last name and you shouldn’t be here,’” Steele continued.
Steele’s short memory evidently caused him to forget Trump’s landslide election victory as he trounced Vice President Kamala Harris, winning the electoral and popular vote while sweeping swing states Democrats smugly thought they couldn’t lose.
“The reality is being set up for us,” Steele told Wallace. “People need to accept what it is and figure out if [you’re going to] bend over and let it happen, or [you’re] in some way [going to] stand up and say, ‘You know what? This is not what we want because this is not who we are.’”
The former RNC chair got a solid drubbing on social media where X users gave him a reality check.
I’m sick and tired of these fake conservatives on legacy media.

Good grief Mr. Steele you’re trashing Donald Trump after he won in a landslide from your perch on the least watched news channel on cable TV. Stop being a jerk & get busy & get some answers re the 325k kids that Biden/Harris have lost. Their lives mean more than your opinion.

It’s hard to believe this guy, Michael Steele, used to run the RNC. Boggles the mind, it does.
