Cabal of globalists at the U.N. demands climate ransom 

The international Left is in lockstep on radical climate action.

Claiming that the entire planet is in crisis allows them to impose all sorts of measures that give them more control over everyone.

At the United Nations COP29 climate summit, developed nations in the West like the United States agreed to transfer $300 billion per year to developing nations.

France 24 reported, “After two exhausting weeks of chaotic bargaining and sleepless nights, nearly 200 nations pushed through the contentious finance pact in the early hours in a sports stadium in Azerbaijan. But the applause had barely subsided when India delivered a full-throated rejection of the ‘abysmally poor’ deal, kicking off a firestorm of criticism from across the developing world.”

Indian delegate Chandni Raina commented, “It’s a paltry sum. . .This document is little more than an optical illusion. This, in our opinion, will not address the enormity of the challenge we all face.”

So the giant climate payoff was not even enough.

For instance, “Sierra Leone’s climate minister Jiwoh Abdulai said that the deal showed a ‘lack of goodwill’ from rich countries.”

Nigeria’s envoy Nkiruka Maduekwe flatly said, “This is an insult.”

One insane demand of American taxpayers

The solution to the so-called climate crisis is always “more money.”

France 24 added that “at protests throughout COP29, developed nations — major economies like the European Union, the United States and Japan — were accused of negotiating in bad faith, making a fair deal impossible. Developing nations arrived in the Caspian Sea city of Baku hoping to secure a massive financial boost from rich countries many times above their existing pledge of $100 billion a year.”

The truth of the matter is that the only way for poor countries to develop is with cheap and abundant energy.

China and India are by far the two biggest polluters because they are emerging economies.

Western countries have cut emissions through innovation, and they are further along in their industrial development curve.

Ironically, leftists constantly complain about the horrors of colonialism, but blocking developing countries from cheap energy is a form of neo-colonialism.

U.N.’s COP29 climate zealots seek $300 Billion transfer from ‘rich’ countries

Poor countries are supposed to continue burning wood for energy—which is terrible for the environment—instead of building hydroelectric dams.

The whole thing is absurd.

And it’s based on the faulty premise that the climate is catastrophically changing due to human activity.

The effects of climate change can easily be mitigated through economic growth and development.

For example, natural disasters used to kill far more people because infrastructure was weaker, and detection models were nonexistent.

William Nordhaus, a Yale economist who won a Nobel Prize in 2018 for his work on climate economics, argued that the costs of climate change can easily be absurd through economic growth.

The United States and other nations don’t need to send billions of taxpayer dollars for climate change.

They just need to let developing countries avail themselves of cheap energy.
