A Texas father was arrested last week after he allegedly punished his 10-year-old daugther by forcing her hands on an electric stovetop burner and making her hold a heavy object over her head while doing squats.
Court documents say Oscar Ovideo Villagas, 39, called his actions “punishment,” KPRC reported.
This particular incident took place on Friday, but police didn’t say who reported it or if they suspect other incidences of harsh and cruel “punishment.”
Regardless, Villagas was charged with one count of injury to a child and given a $75,000 bond.
He is no longer listed on the jail registry. There is no information about the condition of the child.
