Donald Trump‘s 17-year-old granddaughter Kai, who is perhaps the President-elect’s biggest fan, recently recreated her grandpa’s “signature” YMCA dance moves in a social media post.
Knewz.com has learned that the President-elect’s granddaughter filmed herself and her friend doing Trump’s swaying and fist-bumping moves, after the iconic steps became a major pop-culture trend.
In the video, Kai could also be seen doing Trump’s signature golf swing with her friend.
The teenage golf prodigy posted the video – shot on Trump’s Boeing 757 private jet – on TikTok with the caption, “Learned these moves from the best.”
Kai’s followers on TikTok were seemingly amazed by her loving mimicry of the President-elect, with some of them demanding that she do the iconic moves again—but this time with her grandfather joining in.
“Ask grandpa to do a TikTok with you pls,” read one of her comments, while another follower wrote, “Get gramps in on it!”
Yet another comment said, “No one can do it like your Grandpa! But you’re close.”
It is worth noting that Trump’s iconic dance moves have become quite a popular trend, with several athletes recreating them. UFC fighter Jon Jones broke out the signature Trump moves after defeating opponent Stipe Miocic by knockout at the UFC 309 fight at Madison Square Garden on November 16—an event attended by the President-elect himself.
Notably, retired iconic professional wrestler Hulk Hogan did the Trump dance as well when he came out in support of the then-Republican candidate at the “historic” Madison Square Garden rally before the 2024 elections.
The eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa, Kai Madison Trump has been one of the most vocal supporters of Trump during his presidential campaign—and stole the show at the Republican National Convention in July with a speech about her presidential hopeful grandfather.
In what Trump Jr. revealed was the 17-year-old’s first speech, Kai said, “A lot of people have put my grandpa through hell, and he’s still standing… Grandpa, you are such an inspiration, and I love you.”
Speaking in front of the rapt audience, the expert golfer said with love and adoration, “The media makes my grandpa seem like a different person, but I know him for who he is. He’s very caring and loving. He truly wants the best for this country, and he will fight every single day to make America great again.”
She also offered glimpses of her personal relationship with Trump – which she said was “the side of my grandpa that people don’t often see” – in her speech, saying:
“To me, he’s just a normal grandpa. He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking, he always wants to know how we’re doing in school… When I made the high honor roll, he printed it out to show his friends how proud he was of me.”
“He calls me during the middle of the school day to ask how my golf game is going and tells me all about his — but then I have to remind him that I’m in school and I’ll have to call him back later,” she added.
She also touched upon her memories of playing golf with her grandpa, mentioning how he does not cut her slack if they are on opposing teams.
“When we play golf together, if I’m not on his team, he’ll try to get inside of my head and he’s always surprised I don’t let him get to me… But I have to remind him, I’m a Trump, too,” Kai said at the Republican National Convention.
“Even when he’s going through all these court cases, he always asks me how I’m doing… He always encourages me to push myself to be the most successful person I can be. Obviously, he sets the bar pretty high, but who knows, maybe one day I will catch him,” she said.
She also commented on the assassination attempt on the then-Presidential candidate in Butler, Pennsylvania, saying, “On Saturday, I was shocked when I heard that he has been shot, and I just wanted to know if he was OK. It was heartbreaking that someone could do that to another person.”
Over the recent weeks, the social media accounts of Trump’s granddaughter have filled with adoring photos and videos of the President-elect.
