DRIVERS at a major airport were left completely stranded after a number walked out to find their vehicles missing.
Police at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport have said approximately 52 cars worth nearly $5 million were stolen by an organized crime group.
According to a report by Dallas News, several people have been accused of working together to steal the vehicles from DFW.
The investigation has been running since February 2023, with the affidavit claiming as many as 14 suspects have been identified.
It’s thought the group, which is based in the Houston area, has also stolen cars from airports in New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah.
The investigation gained momentum in October when three men were arrested thanks to the use of a license plate reader – which alerted police of a suspect vehicle entering the airport.
