Podcast host Joe Rogan just about broke the internet the other day by sending an offer to Elon Musk.
Comcast is reportedly spinning off MSNBC, tired of losing money with the leftist media outlet.
Musk made a comment on social media that started rumors he could be interested in buying the network, so Rogan made him an offer he could not refuse.
I’ll Do It
Reports surfaced about a week ago that Comcast was going to be spinning off its cable networks.
That report was accompanied by another report that the biggest salary on the network, Rachel Maddow, had been asked to take a massive $5 million pay cut.
When the news broke about MSNBC being up for sale, Musk jokingly responded to someone asking him to buy the network in the same fashion he inquired about Twitter being up for sale.
That really started the rumors flying that Musk could possibly put together an investment group to buy the network, which would be a shocking change to the liberal media world.
Rogan then offered Musk a little incentive to buy the struggling network.
Rogan posted on X, “If you buy MSNBC I would like Rachel Maddow’s job. I will wear the same outfit and glasses, and I will tell the same lies.”
This just put the meltdown on the left on turbo, with Rolling Stone talking about right-wingers “fantasizing” about Musk owning the network.
MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, who has pretty much lost every marble he had floating around in his head, asked, “Is there anybody to stop someone, Musk or not, from buying MSNBC and turning it into pro-Trump propaganda? Well, who stopped Musk from doing that to Twitter?”
Musk clearly has the money to do this, but will he?
After buying Twitter and turning the platform into X, it has reportedly lost about 80% of its value, so I am not sure Musk would be willing to risk that kind of loss again.
Having said that, it would likely be the only real challenger to Fox News, which just owns the cable news ratings right now.
I don’t know about you guys, but I think just having Olbermann and Maddow out of work is worth it to me.
