An Atlanta woman recently came forward with allegations of potential voter fraud after noticing that her voter registration information had been altered without her knowledge or consent.
Ashley Kunkle told Atlanta News First she was in “shock” after someone had accessed her voter page, changing the address and, ultimately, her voting district.
She said, “It moved me all the way across to south [Fulton] county, at a random address outside the city.”
Kunkle’s new address, however, fell within Atlanta city limits, but even with this clarified information, she worried about whether she could participate in the local elections.
The outlet reported that she called a voting hotline on Friday, which referred her to the Fulton County Registrar’s Office. Kunkle said the rep amended her address over the phone without verifying her identity.
On one hand, it’s fantastic that they updated my address this morning. It’s great it’s resolved. On the other hand, why was it so easy to change my address and even change it back.
She added that there was no explanation for how her page was accessed and how her address was changed.
A Fulton County spokesperson issued this formal response to Kunkle’s conundrum, essentially downplaying and denying her claims:
Regarding the voter, the registration rep verified her name, address, and date of birth before updating her address in the system. The application used to update the address was also reviewed before completing the update. All protocols and processes were followed regarding verification of the voter’s information.
Atlanta News First visited the altered address from Kunkle’s voter page but did not receive a response at the door. Neighbors asserted that someone did indeed live at the address. Kunkle maintained she is in no way connected to the inhabitants of the address.
Election integrity is a zero-sum game in states like Georgia. It has considerable populations of Republican evangelical whites and Democratic blacks alongside urban college-educated voters.

ABC News indicated in mid-October that Georgia could become a red state as it has shifted towards the right since 2000. Additionally, 538 forecasted that Trump would have about a 3-in-4 shot at winning the presidency if he captured the Peach State.
