Allies of Kamala Harris within the adult film industry have launched a campaign falsely claiming that President Donald Trump is connected to Project 2025, a conservative plan put forward by the Heritage Foundation. The “Hands Off My Porn” campaign alleges that Trump’s next administration would target the adult industry based on this plan, despite Trump stating that he has no involvement with Project 2025.
Trump’s campaign is focused on Agenda 47, his own policy platform for 2024, and there is no evidence that he supports the Heritage Foundation’s plan. Nonetheless, Harris’ supporters in the adult industry are using this false narrative to stir fear among voters.
The campaign also targets other conservative figures, including Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), who have raised concerns about pornography’s impact on society. However, these concerns do not equate to a nationwide crackdown on the adult industry, as implied by the campaign.
States such as Utah, Arkansas and Louisiana have implemented laws to ensure minors cannot access adult content, requiring age verification for explicit websites. These state laws are not part of any federal plan involving Trump or Project 2025.
Despite the misinformation from Harris’ allies, Trump remains focused on his own agenda, Agenda 47, which does not involve the claims being made about Project 2025.
