Trump initially planned to make a stop in North Carolina, another state severely impacted by the storm. However, the president said he decided to delay the visit due to communication and logistical issues. Trump emphasized the importance of allowing local emergency teams to focus on recovery rather than being concerned about hosting his visit.

Despite his dedication to the relief efforts, Trump voiced frustration with the federal government and North Carolina’s Democratic leadership. He accused them of neglecting Republican-leaning areas in their response to the storm, stating, “I don’t like the reports that I’m getting about the Federal Government, and the Democrat Governor of the State, going out of their way to not help people in Republican areas.”
