A California woman was arrested on Friday, a day a dead baby’s body was found in a parking lot.
LodiNews.com reported that a Commissary Azteca employee discovered the deceased baby in Lodi. Police said an investigation determined Kathryn Copeland, 29, had abandoned the newborn.
Copeland’s relationship to the baby has not been disclosed. It is also unclear how the baby died.

However, LodiNews.com reported that Copeland has a lengthy criminal history which includes arrests for drugs. Her mental capacity was a concern in two cases, though specifics were not provided.
Copeland is due in court on Tuesday. She is charged with concealing or attempting to conceal an accidental death.
