A new wave of polls has come out, and it would appear that the Harris Honeymoon is finally over.
Trump is trending in just about every key state, including all the major battleground states.
The AtlasIntel survey was exactly what Trump needed to see just a month before election day.
He’s Trending
National average polls are all over the place, with both candidates having a lead in recent polling, so we are not even going to look at those since they really only impact the popular vote.
The one thing we can take from them, however, is that in order to win the Electoral College, Harris needs to beat Trump by about 4% in the popular vote. Anything less, and Trump’s chances start to go through the roof.
What will win or lose this election is a handful of battleground states and right now, it is Trump that is trending in the right direction.
In this survey, Trump has taken the lead back in Georgia, now up by 0.6%. In Arizona, Trump has also taken the lead, moving out to a 1.2% margin. Harris, however, still holds Nevada by 2.8% and North Carolina by 2.4%.
In the three key Blue Wall states, it is all Trump right now.
Trump has moved out to a 2.6% lead in PA, a 1.5% lead in Wisconsin, and a 3.4% lead in Michigan.
The good news for Trump is that other polls back up his PA and MI numbers, but it does appear that the WI results could be an outlier and Harris is still ahead.
If the numbers held true on that survey, Trump would win the general election 290-248, but we still have a full month to go and those leads are all within the margin of error, so don’t get comfortable until after election day.
For me, this is all about the trends. Trump seems to have fended off the DNC and debate momentum, and he is climbing back into this race at exactly the right time.
If this were an NHL Stanley Cup playoff, I would say that the last team in the playoffs happens to have the hottest goalie, and hot goalies win championships.
Now he just needs to keep it going and avoid any major misstep over the next five weeks.
