After interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris, MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle desperately tried to defend her for avoiding answering the majority of her questions — arguing that it was “because she’s a politician” and “they all speak in platitudes.”
Apparently, MSNBC has finally caught up to conservatives in realizing that Harris is a typical “politician” who is unable to provide the American public with real answers about her plans for the presidency. However, unlike the American people who will be facing the consequences of Harris’ terrible policies that have not been well thought out, Ruhle doesn’t seem to care that Harris could not provide specifics — in fact, she is totally fine with it, as she never even bothered to push for those answers.
Ruhle made the remarks during a Friday appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” where she and host Joe Scarborough — a major Harris campaign propagandist — were discussing the criticism of the Harris interview, including Fox News’ correct assertion that the Democrat candidate bombed a softball interview.
Scarborough asked: “I’m just curious what your thoughts were about Fox News desperately suggesting that she bombed a softball interview?”
Ruhle responded: “To Fox News, I would say thank you because as I learned from Donald Trump, all press is good press, so I am thrilled to be all over their airwaves all day long.”
“Obviously, for anybody who watched the interview I did with Vice President Harris, we sat down for 25 minutes and we talked about one single topic: the economy,” she continued. “It is the number one issue for voters.”
She then offered to give former President Donald Trump a similar interview — though anyone who has watched MSNBC knows that the “same conversation” with Trump would be extremely adversarial, and Ruhle definitely would have relentlessly attacked Trump if he were to have avoided a single question. Despite this, Trump would almost certainly accept the offer, as he has done dozens of adversarial interviews while Harris’ first one-on-one interview this election season was with Ruhle, who is a Harris supporter.
“If Donald Trump would like to sit down and have that same conversation, I’m ready for you,” Ruhle said. “I think it’s hugely important. It’s a vulnerability for both candidates.”
The MSNBC host went on to admit that Harris is “a politician” who is “speaking in platitudes” and discussing an “economic vision” rather than an actual plan to fix the economy.
“But it’s really tricky, Joe, because you obviously want to cover all of these topics, but to just do it with one candidate, it’s hard, because many people feel like she’s speaking in platitudes. She’s speaking about an economic vision, and she’s not giving details,” Ruhle admitted. “She’s got an 80-page detailed policy proposal. Do I think that she answers every single question and gives people exactly what they want? She doesn’t. You know why? Because she’s a politician, and none of them do. They all speak in platitudes.”
