One of the biggest stains on the Biden administration is the Afghanistan withdrawal.
The administration was never held accountable by the media, so the House Foreign Affairs Committee took matters into its own hands.
Shockingly, 10 Democrats crossed the aisle to vote in favor of the censure.
Holding Them Accountable
The measure was presented on the floor by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX).
Along with Harris and Biden, there was a laundry list of other key officials to censure for their role in the disastrous withdrawal that led to the loss of life of 13 troops and more than a hundred civilians.
We also had numerous troops that were injured, including loss of limbs, but the media barely covered that aspect of the withdrawal.
That does not even take into account the more than 1,000 American citizens that were left behind enemy lines when the last boot left the ground.
But again, the media barely covered that aspect of the story, instead choosing to push Democrat talking points that this was all the bad orange man’s fault.
When push came to shove, there were 10 Democrats that decided not to absolve Biden and Harris for what happened.
Some of the key Democrats that crossed over were Reps. Jared Golden (D-ME), Mary Peltola (D-AK), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA), Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX), Greg Landsman (D-OH), and Jeff Jackson (D-N.C.).
Historian Victor Davis Hanson called it the “greatest humiliation since Saigon.”
He added, “We left our allies hanging without notice. We left thousands of American contractors, tens of thousands of sympathetic Afghans who were murdered or are sought out.”
Yet, if you talk to the Biden administration, they consider it one of their greatest achievements.
It is so bad, during the debate, Joe Biden simply omitted this from his memory, saying that no troop lives had been lost on foreign soil during this administration, and the moderators just sat on their hands and allowed him to say it without challenging him.
State-run media, my friends.
