Minnesota Governor Tim Walz attended the Michigan-Minnesota college football game on Saturday and received anything but a warm welcome from game attendees.
Walz attended the game in a suite along with former U.S. Representative Beto O’Rourke who is a radical leftist who made several failed runs at becoming governor of Texas.
When Walz and O’Rourke exited the Big House, fans waited outside gave them a harsh farewell with a rain of boos and several fans yelling “Get out of here,” at Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate.
Walz’s reception at the Michigan-Minnesota game contrasts sharply with the reception of former President Donald Trump at the Alabama-Georgia game that same day.
When Trump appeared at the game, massive chants of “U.S.A.” broke out from attendees of the game and when he was shown on the jumbotron the applause was thunderous.
Walz can’t get a thunderous welcome in his own state while Trump is taking in the applause from a predominantly young demographic. Saturday’s events could be a foreshadowing of what’s to come in November.
