There has to be a solution which ends the war between Ukraine and Russia without it being a victory for Vlad Putin. Donald Trump had a solid meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Trump Tower on Friday, to discuss exactly that.
Settle the war
The war Russia started by invading Ukraine needs to end and Donald Trump is convinced he can negotiate a fair and reasonable agreement to get that job done.
When Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had his meeting Wednesday with Kamala Harris, she told him everything she thought he wanted to hear. Without saying anything specific about how she can actually help him out. It was obvious Kamala has absolutely no idea and was clearly using the world leader as a celebrity status pawn in her campaign game.
Things were totally different for Zelenskyy on Friday. Having a 58-story building on New York’s Fifth Avenue in Manhattan with his name on it proves Donald Trump knows how to negotiate deals.
The Ukrainian president was welcomed into Trump’s inner sanctum conference room and they held serious talks about ways to end the war without Putin winning and Zelenskyy losing. More importantly, putting an end to what should have never started before it goes nuclear.
While Trump has a solid plan, he’s not about to give it away talking to the press. All anyone needs to know is that he has a plan. He explained to Zelenskyy exactly how he can leverage the working relationship he has with Vlad to bring about a deal.
Kamala Harris, its clear for all to see, couldn’t do that in a million years. All she can do is blow smoke up Zelenskyy’s nether regions and promise to beg Congress for more money. He can win his war, she assures, but his country may be a smoking hole in the ground by then.
A common view
Just ahead of the meeting, as the men stopped for photographs, Zelenskyy observed they had a “common view that the war has to be stopped and Putin can’t win.” He was there to lay out details of his “victory plan.”
Trump acknowledged that sometimes him and Zelenskyy rub each other the wrong way but that doesn’t get in the way of “a very good relationship.” Business is business and personalities are always clashing. “I also have a very good relationship as you know with President Putin.” After he wins the election, he can “get it resolved very quickly.” Even before he’s sworn in.
After the conference, both men spoke to the press. Trump noted that he “learned a lot” from what Zelenskyy was able to fill him in on. “We both want to see this end, and we both want to see a fair deal made.”
Vlad may have started the war but quickly found out his generals had been lying to him about important things which influenced his decision to make the move. He’s now deep into what’s becoming a quagmire and Ukraine is moving their troops around inside Russian territory. They’re even threatening Moscow.
“It should stop and the president (Zelenskyy) wants it to stop, and I’m sure President Putin wants it to stop and that’s a good combination.” Zelenskyy agrees. “Putin killed so many people and of course we need to do everything to pressure him to stop this war. He’s on our territory.” Just turn me loose, Trump boasted. “I will.”
Later on Telegram, the Ukrainian posted about his “very meaningful meeting” with Trump. “We have a common view that the war in Ukraine must be stopped. Putin cannot win. Ukrainians must win.” If Kamala gets elected, Trump warns, “that war will never end, and will phase into WORLD WAR III.“
