Former First Lady Melania Trump might have been somewhat quiet on the campaign trail, but in the lead-up to her new book coming out, she’s holding nothing back.Â
According to the Daily Mail, Melania Trump just sat through her first interview in over two years, and as she always has, she immediately made headlines as a result.
The interview with Fox News was her latest media appearance in promoting her upcoming memoir.
The former first lady touched on a number of subjects, including who she blames for the assassination attempts on her husband’s life, and her son, Barron Trump’s journey to college and beyond.
What did she say?
The interview, conducted by Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt, focused on several subjects, including how Melania feels about Barron Trump going off to college in New York.

“I could not say I’m an empty nester. I don’t feel that way. I raised Barron as own person and gave his own yes and nos. I respect that it was his decision to come here,” she said.
She spoke highly of her son and has hopes of Barron having a good college experience despite his life being “very different” from the lives of others his age.
“He wants to be New York and study in New York and live in his home. And I respect that. And he’s incredible, young man. I’m very proud of what he grow up to. His strength, his intelligence. His knowledge. His kindness. He’s enjoying his college days,” Melania Trump said.
She added, “I hope he will have a great experience because his life is very different than any other 18, 19-year-old child.”
Placing blame
Melania Trump was asked about her thoughts on the assassination attempts on Mr. Trump’s life, and she held nothing back in blaming the “vile” rhetoric from the left.
“Especially that we hear the leaders from the opposition party and mainstream media branding him as threat to democracy, calling him vile names. They only fueling a toxic atmosphere and all of these people that they wanted to harm – this needs to stop this needs to stop,” Melania said.
She added, “The country needs to unite and I encourage everybody to read my letter that I wrote on July 14th, again. Because that cannot continue.”
The former first lady also revealed that she believes her husband was divinely protected in both attempts, saying, “I think something was watching over him. It’s almost like country really needed him.”
