It’s always the season for anti-Israel protesters in New York City. And with the UN General Assembly bringing in all the world leaders, what better time to be a pain in the ass?
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in New York City yesterday to be at the UN, where he will give a speech today. Of course, the protesters are more hacked off than usual after the massive success that Israel has had in neutering Hezbollah. That success has led to the pathetic efforts of the Biden administration, along with several other nations, demanding a 21 day ceasefire with *checks notes* Lebanon. Wait, what?
Predictably, the statement that Team Obama-Harris crafted is anti-Israel, pro-Hezbollah trash. Pure poison. pic.twitter.com/QbJ0fzqcTZ

Last I checked, Lebanon and Israel were not fighting against each other. HEZBOLLAH, on the other hand, has been attacking Israel with regularity after October 7th – so why aren’t they mentioned by name in this statement? Israel finally had enough of that, and now Hezbollah is in the “find out” phase of FAFO. And Netanyahu made it clear that Israel is not going to stop until the displaced Israelis in the north are allowed to go home, and Hezbollah is neutralized.
Netanyahu spoke as he arrived in New York to attend the annual gathering of world leaders at the U.N. General Assembly, where U.S. and European officials were putting heavy pressure on both sides of the conflict to accept a proposed 21-day halt in the fighting to give time for diplomacy and avert all-out war.
Israel’s “policy is clear,” Netanyahu said. “We are continuing to strike Hezbollah with full force. And we will not stop until we reach all our goals, chief among them the return of the residents of the north securely to their homes.”
Naturally, Netanyahu’s very presence was all the protesters needed.
Thousands of people also gathered at the steps of the New York Public Library and marched toward the United Nations where they were holding a rally.
Police say multiple arrests were made from the protests, but did not yet give and exact number.
The large anti-war protests are demanding more to promote peace, from the U.S. and allies.
“The U.S. and Israel are together in this and the United States is using its impunity basically to let Netanyahu come here and speak at the U.N. The people of the U.S. are not OK with that. We don’t accept that our government, that our tax dollars are being used to kill men, women and children in Palestine and now Lebanon,” Layan Fuleihan, the People’s Forum Education Director said while protesting.
Twenty-five people were arrested by the NYPD during the daytime protest, but the fun was not over for the protesters. They had a rally planned for the evening in order to “flood the United Nations” and take over the streets, and their end target? The Loews Regency New York Hotel, where Netanyahu was allegedly staying.
And on the way there, they were going to raise as much havoc as possible, fighting with law enforcement the entire time.

Once they got to the hotel where the protesters assumed Netanyahu was staying, they announced that they were planning on protesting all night long, outside. They just want to be obnoxious assholes – they know that they can’t actually “get” to Netanyahu. At least, not without being taken down by both Israeli security and the Secret Service.

Despite their vow to stay put, the New York Post reported that police were trying to clear some protesters out.
The anti-Israel rabble rousers and police again clashed as the protest moved toward the Upper East Side hotel.
Several people were taken into custody, according to social media footage.
And police later on attempted to clear the area out in front of the hotel. At least one person was taken into custody after part of the building was spray painted.
The NYPD said multiple people were taken into custody, but did not have an exact number.
Someone should ask Kamala Harris if the protesters “have a point,” as Joe Biden once said about the protesters at the DNC. She would probably just give us all a word salad about how we HAVE to have a ceasefire. I have a feeling that Benjamin Netanyahu is going to be a lot more eloquent than that during his speech at the UN General Assembly today.
