President Joe Biden and his administration still haven’t held anyone accountable for the fatal, disastrous U.S. troop withdrawal in Afghanistan three years ago.Â
Since that tragic and horrific day, top Republicans have investigated the Biden administration to determine how Biden could have made such an embarrassing and deadly decision placing American troops in great harm.
According to Fox News, the Biden administration was especially embarrassed this week after 10 Democrats voted with the GOP in a measure rebuking Biden and his administration over the handling of the troop withdrawal.
Biden’s hasty and uncoordinated withdrawal resulted in mass loss of life, including 13 U.S. troops.
What’s the bill?
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX), who conducted a years-long investigation into the disastrous withdrawal, introduced the bill.
In a statement to Fox News, McCaul said, “Three years after the deadly and chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Biden-Harris administration has yet to hold anyone accountable for one of the most devastating foreign policy blunders in American history.”
Making matters worse for Biden and the Democratic Party, a group of no less than 10 House Democrats supported McCaul’s rebuke of the administration.
Fox News noted:
It passed 219 to 194, and among the Democrats who voted for the measure are Reps. Jared Golden, D-Maine; Mary Peltola, D-Alaska; Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Wash.; Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas; Greg Landsman, D-Ohio; and Jeff Jackson, D-N.C.
“Nothing will bring their lives back,” McCaul said on the House floor as he read aloud the names of the fallen U.S. troops.

Calling them out
McCaul’s resolution calls out specific names from within the Biden administration who he feels should be held accountable for what went wrong on that tragic day.
Fox News noted:
The resolution specifically name-checks 15 current or former Biden administration members, including President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, former Ambassador to Afghanistan Ross Wilson and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, among others.
The opposing ranking Democrat on McCaul’s committee, Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) released a statement in opposition of the bill.
“This resolution, as I’ve said all along, is nothing more than political theater designed to score cheap points rather than address the real issues at hand,” Meeks said. “It’s a distortion of the facts and a disservice to the American people, a disservice to our servicemembers, a disservice to our diplomats — all of who put their lives on the line during our 20-year war efforts.”
