Donald Trump is facing historic levels of threats.
Trump survived two assassination attempts in two months.
And a deranged madman tried to kill Trump for this shocking reason.
The man who tried to kill Trump at his golf course was not right in the head.
He had some very crazy and extreme views on politics and had especially strong beliefs regarding the Russian War in Ukraine.
He apparently tried to volunteer as a soldier in Ukraine – and the fact he wanted to fight on behalf of a foreign country shows he had an unhealthy obsession.
This obsession led him down a dark path that ended in committing political violence against Donald Trump.
According to Axios, “The suspected gunman in an apparent assassination attempt on former President Trump at his Florida golf club on Sunday has been identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, multiple outlets report.”
“Both Semafor and the Times reported interviewing Routh last year about his efforts to help Ukraine and offer his help as a volunteer soldier.”
“In a 2022 interview with Newsweek Romania, Routh described the war in Ukraine as ‘definitely black and white’ and ‘good versus evil.’”
However, the article continues, “NBC uncovered over 100 criminal counts have been filed against Routh in N.C., mostly in Guilford County, though it noted the outcome of each case was not clear.”
“The NYT described Routh in the article as a former construction worker from Greensboro, N.C., though the New York Times notes he was most recently based in Hawai’i.”
Mixed in with a crazy obsession with politics, Routh’s pattern of violence and bizarre behavior made him a powder keg ready to explode at any time.
Thankfully, a Secret Service agent was able to fire at him before he could do the unthinkable and no one was hurt.
But the result was seconds away from being far different.
