The Democrat-controlled Senate approved a $95B “National Security Act” bill with a clause to target Trump. Today’s show breaks it down.
The bill includes a measure that would prevent Trump from pausing funds for Ukraine if he becomes president again, according to POLITICO.
“The supplemental represents an attempt by the foreign policy blob/deep state to stop President Trump from pursuing his desired policy, and if he does so anyways, to provide grounds to impeach him and undermine his administration. All Republicans should oppose its passage,” reads the memo by Vance’s office.
If the overseas aid bill does become law and Trump wins the election, Vance’s new memo argues that the incoming president could be impeached again if he “were to withdraw from or pause financial support for the war in Ukraine in order to bring the conflict to a peaceful conclusion.”
However, Trump was already impeached “over allegations he improperly sought help from Ukraine to boost his chances of re-election,” according to the BBC.
“They are setting him up for failure because they want to remove him from office,” Crowder said. “They are really scared that Donald Trump will be the nominee and they are really scared that he will win the election. They are trying to put every contingency plan in place to prevent him from being the nominee and to handicap him while he is in office.”
Trump previously called Zelenskyy “The greatest salesman in history.”
“We got to get that war settled and I’ll get it settled,” Trump said.
Trump has made it clear that he disapproves of sending more aid overseas and the Democrats have made it clear that they greatly fear a second Trump term.
“The reason that they hate Donald Trump is the same reason that they hate you. It’s because he is the only person who runs the risk of stopping the Ukraine train for these folks,” Crowder said.
