1 – Off-duty officers praised for being ‘the wall that existed between worshipers and terror’
From Fox News: The head of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) pointed to the Lakewood Church shooting in Houston on Sunday, to highlight the damages done in metropolitan areas affected by the defund police movement.
At a press conference on Monday afternoon, the chairman of the TABC, Kevin Lilly, joined the mayor of Houston, police officials and others to provide an update on the shooting at Joel Osteen’s megachurch.
Lilly thanked the law enforcement officials who responded to the shooting, calling them the “personification of heroism and valor.”
Two off-duty officers working at the church as security guards are credited with stopping the female shooter.
“They were a wall that existed between worshipers and terror, between freedom of religion and murder,” the TABC chairman said. “We should all be mindful of the sacrifices that our men and women in law enforcement make every day. It is a profession of the highest honor.”

Thank God for the heroic off-duty officers who saved countless lives at Lakewood Church.
The shooter was motivated by vile anti-semitic/anti-Christian beliefs. We must unequivocally denounce this hate, and remember that good guys with guns saved the day.https://t.co/eIOWwSigc3

3 – US tourist killed in crossfire between rival drug dealers in popular resort town
From Fox News: An American woman died in the crossfire of an apparent drug deal gone bad at a popular Mexican beach resort in the municipality of Tulum.
The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office opened an investigation into the Feb. 9 incident which saw the death of an alleged drug dealer from Belize and an American woman, later identified as 44-year-old Los Angeles native Niko Honarbakhsh, according to ABC News.
The dead man had cocaine and “transparent bags with red and orange pills” as well as bags with “brown granulated powder” in his possession when he was killed, leading the prosecutor’s office to determine that he was likely a drug dealer and part of a gang.
Prosecutors maintain that Honarbakhsh died as a result of a stray bullet. Both bodies will undergo autopsies as part of the investigation.

4 – Living on the edge! Incredible aerial footage shows three millionaire mansions worth up to $16 MILLION each hanging off cliff after huge landslide
From the Daily Mail: Three multimillion-dollar homes in Southern California teeter precariously on the edge of a cliffside following a landslide over the weekend.
The collapse occurred in Dana Point, Orange County, on Friday, and sent mud and debris sliding down the 150-feet chasm below.
As of Sunday, no evacuations have been ordered, and engineering crews were assessing the structural integrity of the homes – the only three set on the cliffside.
Residents of the affected properties have been advised to remain vigilant, and prepare for the looming possibility of relocation.
The three affected homes are now largely left at the mercy of Mother Nature, though rains that recently inundated the region look to have past. They are priced around $12.8million, $13million, and $15.9million, and are at risk of falling into the Pacific.
