Daily Wire – Jon Stewart Says ‘Daily Show’ Return Provides A ‘Place To Unload Thoughts’ During Election Cycle:
Jon Stewart didn’t hold back when he said he decided to come back to Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” as host after a nearly nine-year hiatus. During Stewart’s “CBS Mornings” appearance on Monday, he said returning to the show would give him a “place to unload thoughts as we get into this election season.” He will host on Monday nights through the 2024 presidential election, beginning February 12.
The move comes after Apple TV+ and Stewart decided to part ways after two seasons of “The Problem With Jon Stewart” over creative differences, The Hollywood Reporter noted.

The Hill – The days of optional SAT scores may be coming to an end:
Are standardized tests poised for a comeback? Dartmouth College announced this week it would be reinstating its requirement for applicants to submit scores from the SAT or ACT, a mandate that it and hundreds of other U.S. schools had dropped during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the celebration from some students and academics when schools nixed required SAT scores, Dartmouth says the results of an internal study showed they were actually helpful for constructing the best incoming class.

American tourist killed
Fox News – California woman shot dead in Mexican resort town popular with Americans:
An American woman died in the crossfire of an apparent drug deal gone bad at a popular Mexican beach resort in the municipality of Tulum. The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office opened an investigation into the Feb. 9 incident which saw the death of an alleged drug dealer from Belize and an American woman, later identified as 44-year-old Los Angeles native Niko Honarbakhsh, according to ABC News.
The dead man had cocaine and “transparent bags with red and orange pills” as well as bags with “brown granulated powder” in his possession when he was killed, leading the prosecutor’s office to determine that he was likely a drug dealer and part of a gang.
