To truly understand these two passages in the Book of Revelation that use the English phrase “Synagogue of Satan,” one must first understand the English translation controversies surrounding “sunagg” and “ekklesia,” which were started by King Jimmy, and realize that these phrases are best translated “assemblies of Satan” and clearly refer to the modern-day Christian church.

Furthermore, to fully comprehend this sentence in Revelations 3:9—”I will make liars of those who are of Satan’s synagogue, who claim to be Jews though they are not.””—An understanding of how the term “Jew” is used in the New Testament is also required.

The other huge disservice that King Jimmy did in his “authorized” English translation of the Bible was to use the English word “pastor” in Ephesians 4:11, where the Greek word, poimn, is translated with the English word “shepherd” in every other place in the New Testament.

If we used the English word “pastor” everywhere the Greek word poimn is used, we’d have passages like this one in the Gospel of John, which is always translated “shepherd: ” I am an excellent pastor. A good pastor gives his life for his flock. The pastor, who owns the sheep, is not the hired hand. When he sees the wolf approaching, he abandons the sheep and flees.

The wolf then attacks and scatters the flock. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and they know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father, and I lay down my life for the sheep. Other sheep that are not in this sheep pen belong to me. I’ll have to bring them as well. They, too, will hear my voice, and there will be only one flock and one pastor. (Jesus’ words in John 10:11-16)

The entire office of the “pastorate” in Christian churches does not exist in the Bible but was established by King Jimmy, who was establishing the Church of England as the “reformed” church and an alternative to the Pope-ruled “Roman Catholic Church.”

So he simply replaced priests, who ruled over local Catholic churches in the same way that a CEO rules over a corporation, with pastors, who now rule over Christian churches that emerged from Europe’s “Reformation” movement.
