MSNBC’s The ReidOut Blog blasted Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams for his belated honesty on his city’s illegal migrant crisis. The writer dubbed him the “Black Trump” for correctly asserting the city will be crushed under the weight of unchecked migration.
Adams told a town hall meeting last week, “This issue will destroy New York City. We’re getting 10,000 migrants a month.”
Writer Ja’han Jones chastised the mayor for “bigoted thinking” inspired by conservatives. He claimed the reason Adams’ enlightenment is being applauded is due to his echoing beliefs of the right wing.
Accuse him of being an Uncle Tom describing him as ‘Black Trump’

Jones wrote that critics labeled the mayor as “Black Trump.” This, he asserted, came after Thursday’s “anti-immigrant diatribe that sounded like it had been ripped from the former president’s social media feed.”
The MSNBC blogger accused the Democrat of “parroting right-wing talking points and espousing conservative politics” concerning immigration.
Adams fervently stood by NYC’s “sanctuary” status for illegal migrants until the truth could no longer be ignored. Now, the city is overflowing with asylum seekers and social services are bursting at the seams.
And still, they come. The current tally is 110,000 and rising.
Adams warned city residents last week that the migrant crisis is coming to their communities and neighborhoods. However, he claimed the situation began with “a madman down in Texas.”
That madman, of course, is Republican Gov. Greg Abbott. It was his brilliant idea to share the wealth of Biden’s open border with Democratic cities that haughtily declared themselves to be sanctuaries for one and all.
If that’s the case, he concluded, it is time to put your money where your mouth is. For Mayor Adams, that amounted to billions of dollars and pitifully begging his own party in Washington for relief.
Last week, Abbott noted that Texas has shipped over 35,000 migrants to these cities that rolled out the red carpet for everyone.
Chicago is another frequent destination of the buses and routinely declares that it can house no more migrants.
For Adams, the responsibilities of his actions keep mounting. He told the town hall that the city is absorbing thousands of new migrants each week. The obligations to feed, house, clothe, educate, and provide health care to each are straining NYC’s resources past the breaking point.
