Graduation ceremonies sometimes bring families together. But sometimes, they reveal how far apart some families are.
A middle school event is a high-profile example of the latter. It was the latest moment in a feud involving relatives of Elvis Presley.
Priscilla Presley, 77, attended the graduation of her twin granddaughters from middle school Friday in Los Angeles.
But she did not walk with the 14-year-old girls afterward, who went away with father Michael Lockwood. And the girls’ older sister was not even present.

The New York Post reports Lockwood recently received custody of his twin daughters, in the wake of Lisa Marie Presley’s death in mid-January.
Her death touched off a public fight over Lisa Marie’s estate. A settlement reportedly was reached in recent days, granting her mother Priscilla millions of dollars.

Details of the settlement are unclear, because a proposal to seal the court document is pending. But it pitted Priscilla Presley against Lisa Marie’s oldest daughter, actress Riley Keough, 33. The two reportedly are not talking these days.
“There was never any lawsuit filed against my beloved granddaughter,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Tonight.

She is the co-founder of Elvis Presley Enterprises. But the estate settlement reportedly blocks her from being buried next to the music icon outside the Graceland mansion in Memphis.
The burial area includes Elvis Presley’s mother, father, Lisa Marie Presley and one of her sons who died in 2020.
