As it becomes increasingly unpopular for celebrities to support former President Donald Trump some celebrities still do not hide their love of the former president.
Among them is former boxing World Champion Mike Tyson, who recently spoke about a dinner he had with the former president and former first lady Melania Trump.
It happened when Tyson was a guest on the Patrick Bet David’s podcast, where he was on hand to promote his coming fight with Jake Paul.
“He’s the man,” the former world champion said when the host spoke about the former president’s appearance at a UFC event.
“You walked up with Trump,” the host said. “And that place lost their mind when you guys walked up. I don’t know if you…?”
“People don’t like him, but Trump is the man. He has his fan base, he has his supporters, and they’re going to stick with him to the end,” he said.
“I’ve never had a bad moment with him,” he said about their longtime friendship and the financial advice he gave him starting in the 1980s. “I became very profited from him.”
“I just had dinner with him a week ago,” he said. “Me, him, Barron, and his mother, and it was just off the hook. Barron, he’s so smart… This kid’s on top of his game intellectually.”
He also praised former first lady Melania Trump when he said she was an “awesome first lady.”
Tyson defended the former president in 2016 when he was under fire from the liberal media.
“Anybody that was ever president of the United States offended some group of people or some groups of people were offended,” he said to TMZ. “Ask his fans if he needs to apologize. He’s still ahead in the polls and he deserves a chance. If they don’t like him, they shouldn’t vote for him. Let’s go to the polls and see who wins.”
