A former UFC champion slammed the president’s latest voting bloc push as “pandering at its worst.”
Coupled with President Joe Biden’s futile attempt to shift the blame for the illegal alien crisis to the GOP, the Democrat leader took a whirlwind trip across the border states with a pitch aimed at ending the hemorrhaging of Latino voters.
Joining Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime” to opine on the incumbent’s pitch, former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz slammed the current administration’s policies that have hurt Americans of all demographics and earned a shoutout from former President Donald Trump in the process.
“THANK YOU, TITO ORTIZ!” wrote Trump on Truth Social as he shared a clip of the fighter’s appearance with Watters where the one-time mayor pro tempore of Huntington Beach, California wondered, “How much more can our country take before people stand up?”
“Pandering at its worst. It’s pretty embarrassing what they’re trying to do,” Ortiz said when asked about “the Biden pitch to Hispanics” Thursday.
“I’ve watched this over the last three-and-a-half years, and it’s just, how much more can our country take before people stand up?” he wondered. “All the Latino friends that I have, everybody that’s been waiting in line to get across the border — it’s no longer Mexicans that are trying to get across the border. It’s everybody from every other country.”
Having relocated from California to Florida in search of a better business climate following the draconian lockdowns of 2020, the brawler turned entrepreneur who’d “lost everything” expressed, “It’s really hard for me because being a blue-collar man with three boys and the future of them, I got to make sure that I stand up and let my voice be heard.”
According to the results of a New York Times/Siena College poll posted in early March, Biden had gone from getting 61% of the Hispanic vote over Trump at 28% in 2020 to losing that same demographic to his predecessor by a margin anywhere from 2-6%.
Ortiz’s backing of the GOP leader wasn’t merely a protest against the incumbent. Having long supported Trump, he expanded on his motivation telling Watters, “You’ve got to understand, I’ve known Donald Trump since 2000. I fought at his casino at the Trump Taj Mahal. I worked on the ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ with him, and to see what type of businessman he was, what type of father he was, what type of patriot he is for this country — for a billionaire to step up for this country, willing to risk everything to protect his country, my hat’s off to him, and I will support him until he’s no longer around.”
“And that’s the way I feel, but I think there’s a lot of Latinos that feel the same way because they come to this country to make sure we have our faith, we have our family and we have our freedoms,” he went on.
Meanwhile, as Vice President Kamala Harris did her part for the pander tour, she embarrassed herself in Puerto Rico by clapping along to a protest song that targeted her and the administration with lyrics that included, “The vice president arrived, Making history, We want to know, What do you think of the colony?”

“For the future of our children, for all the futures of everybody who does want to come across the border legally — because, once again, it’s not just Mexicans that are coming across the border, people need to understand that,” Ortiz said as he spoke of the stakes of the 2024 election. “There’s child trafficking, there’s drugs that are coming across. All the cartels are doing the things that American people don’t like.”
“We need to come together. We need to make sure that we make America great again because it’s very, very important,” he added.
