Philadelphia police are looking for two suspects in a shooting that critically injured a driver stopped at a traffic light in the North Philly neighborhood of East Oak Lane.
The 31-year-old driver had a dashcam running during the incident, capturing the passenger in a Nissan Murano stopped in front of him get out of the vehicle and approach his car with a gun. He stops abruptly and runs back to the car, firing several shots into the stopped vehicle over his shoulder.
The driver’s door opened briefly but quickly closed when the gunfire started.
The Murano speeds off as the victim, now critically wounded, fires multiple shots at the fleeing vehicle out his window.
Police arrived on scene and took the victim to the hospital. They did not say if the victim and the suspects knew each other.
The Murano was last seen driving north on Old York Road in Cheltenham Township.
The incident took place Friday night just after 9:30 p.m.
Police said the driver of the Murana was wearing a balaclava-style mask; the passenger was wearing eyeglasses but no mask.
