A massive fire engulfed a church in Burlington, New Jersey on Monday, burning it to the ground as over 100 firefighters and other first responders worked to contain the blaze.
The fire erupted at the Fountain of Life Center in Florence Township around 6 p.m., NBC News reported. It is unclear what caused the inferno. No injuries have been reported.
“Even though this building could not be saved, they’ve done everything they can to save our school building, which is attached through a link to the church,” said pastor Russ Hodgins, according to ABC 7.
Videos of the devastating fire were shared on Twitter, including one from NBC10 Philadelphia, which showed the massive emergency response.
“Presently, a substantial 4-alarm fire is being combated by multiple firefighters and other departments at the Fountain of Life Center church located in Burlington, New Jersey,” one Twitter user posted along with video of the scene.

“Firefighters did a tremendous job of trying to stop the fire interiorly. It was just the size of the building the amount of fire that was here — we had to switch our operation to a defensive operation,” said Robert Tharp of the Florence Township Fire District.
