Fox News host Tucker Carslon whacked the establishment hornet’s nest when he aired previously unseen footage of the January 6, 2021 protests at the United States Capitol, enraging those with a vested interest in portraying the day’s events as a legitimate attempt to topple the federal government and he discussed the firestorm as well as the release of additional video with James Golden on Monday’s edition of “Bo Snerdley’s Rush Hour” radio show.
To say that the broadcasting of the video which showed Jacob Chansley, aka the QAnon Shaman who has been portrayed as the face of the “insurrection” as he was calmly escorted around the builidng by police acting like tour guides as well as footage of USCP Officer Brian Sicknick routinely going about his business inside of the Capitol after an encounter with protesters who, according to media and Democrats, beat him with a fire extinguisher, leading to his tragic death.
Carlson was savaged by Democrats and the corrupt media as well as some Republicans including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) who blasted the “mistake” by Fox News in allowing the American people to see the footage and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer who demanded that Rupert Murdoch silence one of the conservative network’s most popular hosts, leading to speculation that Tucker had caved and would withhold any additional explosive video which isn’t the case, Tucker told the producer of conservative talk radio titan Rush Limbaugh’s legendary radio show.
The host kicked off the interview by asking the question that millions are waiting to be answered, when will the public get to see the rest of the more than 40,000 hours of surveillance camera footage that he was given access to by Republican Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy.
“Tucker, let me just start with the January 6th stuff because a lot of people have been asking is that it, are we gonna see more? Um, you’ve had some pundits, uh, making the claim that Fox has silenced you. There’s not gonna be anything else, blah, blah, blah. Can you tell people where we’re at with the January 6th videos?” Golden asked.
“Well, we’re at a point where I hope they can be released to everybody,” Carlson responded. “There’s no reason we should be the only people who’ve seen them. As I said, at the very outset, we didn’t have… we viewed those videos on the Capitol Hill computer system, so we couldn’t use facial recognition software. So we know there are a lot of federal agents in the crowd that day and as I said, at the very outset we rolled out the video, we couldn’t tell who they were. Um, that’s what we need.”
“We disproved three lies that they’ve been telling about January 6th. Fox did not get involved even, this was only my show, I don’t think any other show, you know has played it, I don’t think their, I mean I don’t know what their view is on it, but Fox did not stop me from airing anything,” he added, rejecting the idea that he was being censored by his own network. “They lawyered it up quite a bit to make certain we didn’t, you know, get sued but they didn’t hold anything back or forced me to. And of course, I, you know, that’s not the arrangement I have with them. Um, so I’m, that’s, that’s untrue.”
“We brought what we had, what we could prove, as I said on the air. I mean, there was a lot of behavior on those videos that suggested coordination,” he continues. “I think it’s very obvious that federal agents were involved in it. Chris Wray himself, the head of the FBI has said they were there. So again, to me, that’s kind of what the follow up needs to be. Someone needs to get in there with facial recognition software and tell us who are these people? The guy with the earpiece, who is that? But I didn’t have that. We couldn’t have it, and so I couldn’t put it on the air and accuse someone of, of effectively a moral crime without knowing who it was. You know what I’m saying? So that was very frustrating for me.”
Golden credited Carlson for shedding long overdue sunlight on a day that has been distorted in order to justify the persecution of conservatives by the Biden regime, specifically those who are supporters of former President Donald J. Trump.
“Tucker, you destroyed the myth and that’s all we really needed. The myth has been destroyed about January 6th,” he said.
