ICYMI – We have some great news!
Rumors are flying that Representative Adam Schiff (R-CA) is going to leave the House of Representatives.
We have also seen reports that he already withdrew his efforts to replace Pelosi in leadership for this term.
The bad news… Schiff may be running for Senator Diane Feinstein’s (D-CA) seat.
Still Not Bad
Schiff’s hubris that he is the chosen one could lead to him being ousted from politics and relegated to MSNBC contributor soon enough.
Schiff got hit with the harsh reality that his party wanted someone else to lead the caucus in the House.
That being Hakeem Jeffries.
So, he is now planning on moving up to the Senate, but there are some big challenges there as well.
If Feinstein steps down early or passes away while in office, Governor Newsom has already committed to filling the seat with a black woman.
If that happens, Schiff would have to primary her in 2024, which would not be well received in today’s Democrat Party.
Even if that does not happen, based on Newsom’s commitment to fill that seat with a black woman, we have to assume he would endorse a minority candidate in an open primary.
Schiff has to come to the realization that his old white butt is no longer wanted in the party.
Regardless of how long he has been in the party, he no longer checks the right boxes on the application.
If he is smart, he will crawl back into his hole and ride out the rest of his career in the House.
I have no problem predicting that his political career will be over if he steps out.
