1. Texas Judge Grants Easter PR Bonds to Rioting El Paso Border Migrants — Blames DA:
Breitbart – A Texas magistrate judge ordered that migrant accused in the March 21 El Paso border riot be released on a personal recognizance bond on Easter Sunday. The judge accused the El Paso District Attorney’s Office of not being prepared to proceed on detention hearings required under Texas law.
Presiding Magistrate Judge Humberto Acosta set PR bonds for the migrants accused of rioting participation on Easter Sunday, according to the El Paso Times. “It is the ruling of the court that all the rioting participation cases will be released on their own recognizance,” Judge Acosta ordered.
Migrants being held on ICE immigration detainers will remain in custody, court officials told the local news outlet.

2. NYC couple are sued by squatters who allegedly took over their $930K investment home and won’t leave: ‘It’s absolutely absurd’:
NY POST – A pair of alleged squatters accused of unlawfully moving into a Queens duplex are suing its rightful owners after refusing to vacate the $930,000 home.
It’s the latest logic-defying chapter in the ongoing squatter saga in the borough, which in recent weeks has seen multiple homes occupied by unwelcome invaders who claim rights to the properties under New York City’s permissive laws.
“It’s absolutely absurd,” said the owner of the latest targeted home, Juliya Fulman — who so far has racked up more than $4,000 in legal bills fighting the suit — to The Post on Sunday.
“These people literally broke into my house. It’s not fair to us as homeowners that we are not protected by the city,” said the Jamaica property owner.
Within the five boroughs, squatters need only occupy a property for 30 days before a wide range of legal protections kick in that make it difficult for the owner to evict them.

Shortly before turning the property over to paying tenants, the owners discovered that squatters had taken over their home.

3. Younger generations open to turning to friends, family to achieve homeownership:
Fox Business – Younger Americans who are looking for ways to buy a home in a challenging market are surprisingly open to buying a home with friends who aren’t their partner to make it more affordable as well as turning to their family for help making that investment.
High interest rates and limited housing supply have made it a tough market for buyers to find a house that meets their needs, but homeownership remains a top priority for 42% of Americans who don’t currently own a home, according to a survey by Credit Karma.
The survey found that over one-third of non-homeowners (35%) would be willing to split the purchase of a home with someone other than their partner – like a friend or a group of friends. That figure jumped to 59% among Gen Z respondents, highlighting younger Americans’ willingness to look at less traditional ways of buying a home.
Denny’s Question: Will home ownership and affordability ever become a reality again for the upcoming generation of Americans? Or is that truly a foregone pipe dream?
